Advertisement Submission Rules and Terms of Use
This document sets out the general rules for posting listings.
1. The listing must be lawful
Do not include in your listings offers, terms or information that violate the laws applicable to you or the rights of third parties, or that facilitate such violations (for example, a requirement to hand over a passport as security).
You may post listings only for goods, services, job vacancies, properties and other offers (hereinafter, a “good”) for which you hold all the necessary rights, licences, registrations, permits, certificates, etc.
Before posting a listing, you must ensure that all of its elements are lawful (including photos, videos, links to third-party websites where permitted, etc.). You are solely responsible for any violations of the law or the rights of third parties that you commit.
2. Information in the listing must be accurate and complete
We consider the posting of any information in a listing that may mislead users about your good or the terms of your offer to be a serious violation of the adplace.net rules.
This also means that:
- all listing details (title, description, category, photos and videos, etc.) must be consistent with one another and reflect the actual terms of your offer;
- when posting a listing, you must provide a current phone number at which you can be reached.
If the law requires your offer to include certain information, you must provide it.
You are solely responsible for distributing a listing that omits mandatory information or contains inaccurate information.
Agencies and dealers may not post listings while posing as a private user, using a “Private individual” profile or selecting “Owner” in the listing’s “Ownership” field. In the “Cars” category, a listing that has been deactivated following the detection of such a violation may be reactivated in accordance with the free listing limits.
3. The listing must match a category on adplace.net
Post listings only for goods that have a relevant category on adplace.net. Do not post listings seeking donations, requesting services, collecting financial assistance, seeking dating or social connections, reporting found or lost items, or looking to buy or find something. Exceptions: a listing to buy real estate may be posted only in the “Real Estate” category; a listing seeking a job or an employee may be posted only in the “Jobs” category.
Listings must be posted in the relevant categories. Listings within a single category may be posted using only one profile (including where you are acting on behalf of one company or joint business, your family, or people you know). You may post listings using only one private profile. Special rules may apply to linked profiles.
You may not include multiple goods in one listing, except where they form a set or belong to the same category. If a listing includes several goods belonging to the same category, a price must be specified for each good.
We may set limits on the number of listings that can be posted free of charge in certain categories and regions (a “limit”) so that users can see offers from different sellers. Once the limit is reached within the 30 and/or 365 calendar days preceding the listing date, posting a new listing or activating a previously created listing in the relevant categories and regions may require payment.
4. The offer must be specific, real and current
Post listings for a specific, real good that has consumer value. For example, you cannot sell a doughnut hole or rent out an apartment on the planet Saturn on adplace.net.
If you post a listing to sell a good, it must be in your possession; if you post a listing for a service, you must be ready to provide it; if you post a listing to rent out real estate, you must be ready to make it available to the tenant, and so on. We may allow listings for pre-order goods, including goods from abroad, and goods that will soon go on sale. Made-to-order goods may be listed in the “Spare Parts” and “Vehicles” subcategories. If you offer a made-to-order good, select “Made to order” in the “Availability” field when posting the listing.
In some categories, you may be able to specify how many units of a good are in stock. If this option is available in the adplace.net interface, you may indicate that you have several units in stock and enter the exact quantity available. If you do not specify a quantity, it will be assumed that one unit is in stock.
Keep the information about the quantity in stock in your adplace.net profile up to date. A listing may be unpublished if the rules or the adplace.net interface do not provide otherwise. Unpublishing a listing because the good is out of stock is equivalent to the user unpublishing it. If the good is still in stock, update the quantity in your adplace.net profile.
Do not post listings for goods sold by auction or through bidding. Exception: in the “Real Estate” and “Vehicles” categories (except for the “Spare Parts and Accessories” subcategory), you may post a listing for an auction sale provided that the listing clearly states that the good is being sold by auction.
If you have sold the good or your offer is no longer current for any other reason, unpublish the listing as soon as possible. Do not change the content of a listing that has already been published. This includes uploading a photo of a different good or property. Create a new listing for a new offer.
Do not post listings unless you intend to make a transaction for the specific good stated in the listing (no fictitious listings). Listings intended to generate leads — that is, to obtain contact details of potential buyers — are prohibited. During the test period, enhanced checks are being carried out to verify that listings are current and to detect fictitious ones.
Online booking is available in the “Tourism” category. Once this option is enabled, the user must be prepared to accept booking requests. Frequent refusals or cancellations of such requests, or avoiding them without a valid reason, indicate that the user who posted the listing has no genuine intention of making transactions. If this approach is not corrected, the listing and the landlord/agency profile may be blocked.
Please remember that posting a listing may create an obligation for you to enter into and fulfil a transaction with a potential buyer in accordance with civil law.
Do not post general advertising information without a specific offer in your listings. Use the dedicated personal page included in your plan for this purpose. Listings on adplace.net are intended to inform users about the possibility and terms of making transactions. The listings themselves, and the information they contain, are not intended to create or maintain interest in a particular person, or in that person’s goods or services.
Post listings at a real address — that is, the address where the good is physically located (where you can ship it from or where a buyer can visit to view and/or collect it), or where you carry out your business selling the good. In some categories, users must add address(es) to the “Company addresses” section of their profile in order to use a Plan.
5. Rules for posting repeated and similar listings
You may have only one active listing for each good.
This means that you may not post repeated listings (duplicates) for the same good, including in different cities or districts, or in different categories.
The following will also be considered a repeated listing (duplicate):
- you unpublish or delete a listing (before its posting period expires) and then post a new listing for the same good, including in another region or category;
- you edit a published listing by replacing the offered good with another one, and then post a new listing offering the good from the original version of the previous listing;
- you post a general listing for several goods and then post separate listings for those same goods.
If the characteristics of the goods specified in two listings match, the later listing will be considered a duplicate and may be blocked.
We consider the posting of repeated listings (duplicates) to be a serious violation of the adplace.net rules. In the event of repeated or deliberate violations, we may restrict access to your adplace.net profile.
Exceptions:
You may post several listings for the same offer if it is available in several cities:
- in the “Services” and “Jobs” categories. Due to technical limitations, the number of listings that may be posted in one subcategory in one city in the “Services” category may be limited;
Listings for the same offer available in several cities, as well as similar (same-type) listings with minor differences, may be grouped together in the search results to make searching easier and give visitors a wider choice of different offers.
